"Dear Sheridan,
Thank you very much for always being so encouraging. I'm also so happy for the children that have found you, because I know that you will find a future for them like you did for me and because I understand how unique the UK can be in recognising children's potential looking past disabilities. Your work must be such a blessing to the children and their families!
I will let you know if I hear from more universities. Please stay safe, and thank you again for everything. "

"Sheridan is an extremely kind and compassionate person who will do her best to find the right school for your child. Since she has raised a child with dyslexia, she understands the frustrations and obstacles that we parents must face when setting out to look for an appropriate school for our child. Sheridan is very forth coming and will do her best to come up with the best possible solutions."

“Sheridan’s in depth knowledge of both mainstream and specialist schools across Britain that offer first class teaching to dyslexic students is very impressive”

"We hired Sheridan to advise us on a UK boarding school for our son. She really understood what we were looking for (even if we maybe did not know ourselves from the start) and was of great help in getting access to the right schools on the right levels. Sheridan really knows the market and is a very pleasant person to work with."

"I first contacted Sheridan in 2012 when I was searching the internet looking at alternative schools for my son. Being based in Australia made the search all the more difficult as my wife and I had nothing to go on. However, having contacted Sheridan we found she was very willing to try to accommodate our requirements - in the case of my son meeting some learning challenges with a school that had a very strong sports culture.
In the end we decided not to pursue moving into England in 2012 but when we felt the need to re-visit this option a year later Sheridan was more than ready to put all her efforts into helping us once again.
Within weeks we had a whole range of schools put forward for us to look at - all of which Sheridan had clearly visited regularly and knew intimately. In the end we held interviews via Skype with four schools all of whom were exceptional.
We then visited England and saw two of the schools and both were excellent and most importantly totally appropriate for our son. We were delighted to be offered a place at both, illustrating the fact that the schools had been correctly identified as right for our son and vice versa. Throughout the process Sheridan was prepared to take endless numbers of call and reply to emails and contact the schools to seek out information on our behalf.
Sheridan's assistance was invaluable in what was a very challenging ordeal and we would strongly recommend using Dyslexia School Search for anyone needing help seeking out the right school for their child."

Mr Hans Martin Lösch re his son
"I approached Sheridan when I was at an absolute low.
My daughter was at a Specialist Provision School that she was very happy at. She had been there for 5 years was settled and looking forward to successfully completing her GCSE's, having completed Y10. My daughter, prior to attending this school had huge confidence issues, suffering from dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. She had had an awful time at previous Schools.
My daughter’s school, in our opinion, was wrongly accused of being inadequate for the children in its care. They suffered a massive smear campaign within the press. Despite the support of all the parents, the school was unable to survive, and closed during the Summer Holidays.
At the end of the summer term I approached Sheridan, distraught as this could not have happened at a worse time for my daughter, we were asking for help at this stage just in case the School closed, but we were really hoping that it would remain open. Sheridan immediately understood, I sent our child’s profile to Sheridan and asked if she could help us.
Sheridan used her huge amount of knowledge of schools that support children with learning difficulties and came up with a short list of Schools. Sheridan's skills were challenged to the highest degree as my daughter was already old for her year and really did not want to repeat Y10. Also Sheridan had the thankless task of trying to find a School for a child that was not moving because she was unhappy but was having to move due to extremely unfortunate circumstances. This meant that Sheridan needed to have to delay with the challenge of our daughter constantly comparing any schools against a School that she was happy at. Children with Specialist Learning needs are often very upset by change.
So Sheridan had to try to find a School that had the right subjects on similar Boards, which my daughter could continue with her GSCE's whilst receiving the high levels of support that she requires. This felt to us like an impossible task as we were also limited to choice due to funding issues.
My daughter suffers from massive confidence issues and as parents we were not only concerned about the negative impact that changing schools at this critical time would have on her academically but also very concerned about the impact on her confidence and general wellbeing.
Sheridan took time to truly understand our child and her needs and was able to balance this against her vast knowledge of schools. Due to the way the School that Sheridan found is marketed, I probably would never have looked at this School.
There were so many limitations that were placed upon Sheridan, and we hope she realizes the help that she gave us was invaluable. "
Mrs V P re her daughter
When we first came in contact I had a very difficult situation with my son Ferdinand. He is highly dyslexic and was very happy at his school - Stanbridge Earls, where they had made a really good job to bring him to the highest possible academic level. Ferdinand loved his school and the teachers there. Unfortunately the school was suddenly closed shortly before the summer holidays so we had first of all no reaction time to look for a new school and also only very limited time because as a farmer is it was in the high season with no chance to travel around England to have a look for a new school of my son.
In this tricky situation Sheridan showed an incredible effort to look for the best schools that also had a free place for Ferdinand at such short notice. I was deeply impressed by the suggestions she made after a few days and in the end we chose a school which seemed to have the most fitting curriculum. Funny enough it was kind of a blind date when Ferdinand and I arrived there at the beginning of the Michaelmas Term as we did not had the chance to go there before to have a look.
Now Ferdinand is living there in a nice room in the tower of the old Abbey directly above the main door - a bit like Harry Potter. He has settled well and is making very good academic progress.
The main point about Sheridan’s help is that it did not end with Ferdinand’s entry in to the school. She is still involved in his progress and is still in close contact with the school, Ferdinand and me just like a family member.
It was a great pleasure to meet Sheridan, and the incredible help that she gave and still give us. I can highly recommend her company for everybody who is looking for the best possible help with a school search if you have a special child with special needs.
Thank’s a lot for everything and hope to see you again soon.
